Read what some of our clients have to say about their experience with DragonPoint and its team members.
James continues to go above and beyond for us! We have recently upgraded our ERP software and it was not without a few issues. James researched a few ideas on his own and when I arrived at my office last Friday morning, his unexpected email in my inbox was most welcome! The Dragonpoint team are great custom software developers.
We’ve been using the reporting database you guys built for us for several months now, and it’s been wonderful for both our internal support folks and our customers. Thanks so much for your work – it was a huge help to us.
DME has used Dragon Point for several years now, they are certainly one of the best software development companies in Florida, and they have provided us with an extension of our own development resources. Although we have a development team in house, there are times when we have a project that is suited to having a dedicated team to have focus attention where our in-house team continues to spend time maintaining and supporting existing applications. Their staff is very professional and personable. I consider them to be an extension of our team as we will continue to use them to support our larger initiatives, like our Web to Print platform where they held major portion of the effort to go to market.
Sylvia provides great project oversight and really challenges each of the requirements to ensure quality output and to understand the expectations. Each developer further adds their own level of Q&A to assist in developing the Use Cases that will help test the application for delivery. The team is very good at communicating remotely, but we have the advantage of being close enough for on site visits. The team is focused on delivery and provide very detailed reporting on their work effort.
I worked closely with DragonPoint to design our Centralized Inventory and Maintenance Software (CIMS) application. DragonPoint listened to our needs, and the custom system they developed for us does what it was designed to do: it makes us more productive by making it easy to get the information we need every day.
CIMS has significantly reduced the time required to handle special requests, too. For example, before CIMS, it took hours to find the specific work orders our auditors, California Highway Patrol, California Air Board, and other regulatory agency representatives required. Now I can provide the information in seconds using our custom query screen for work orders.
When I contact DragonPoint with questions or issues, I talk to people I know and get a quick response, even though we’re in different time zones.
I recommend DragonPoint to any business that needs custom software designed, developed, and supported.
DragonPoint wrote well over 200 reports for Mercedes Homes. They also did all the programming for Buildrite, the software that Mercedes moved to in 2008. DragonPoint is extremely detailed in all they do. Sylvia Garner worked with all the employees at Mercedes and wrote all of the specs for the Buldrite product. I cannot recommend anyone higher than Sylvia.
My company uses software developed by DragonPoint to track all of the company bookings worldwide. The specification that was developed was complex and had to capture booking information by customer, sales engineer, product type, dealers, country of installation, and source of booking data. Reports had to be generated that could be printed, viewed on the screen, and saved as soft copies.
DragonPoint developed the initial software in FoxPro, and this software was used for many years without any major problems. When it became outdated, a new development program was initiated using Visual FoxPro. DragonPoint handled the software update, the conversion of existing data, and any problems that were encountered in the conversion process. All of this was handled very professionally and efficiently. In addition to the booking software that we are currently using, DragonPoint also developed a forecasting tool that was used to track future business and provide information to our factories. This performed to the same high standards as the booking software.
I want to thank them personally for all of the effort. In addition to the work successes, I found many new friends at DragonPoint.
DragonPoint saved my company hundreds of man-hours in redundant data entry and reduced our errors per order to a fraction of what they once were by designing a custom Microsoft Access database to submit and track orders. The success of the database was due in part to the fact that DragonPoint was extremely flexible even during the development phase in accommodating requirement modifications. They also took the extra time during the preliminary stages to listen and ask detailed questions about our specific software requirements, ensuring that the database fit our needs the first time. This reduced development time, which saved us money and allowed us to apply the database to our project sooner rather than later.
DragonPoint also suggested ideas that we hadn’t thought of regarding how we could enhance the database even further to save time and money in the future. When it came time to implement a phase two addition to the database, we could have pursued a lower bid, but due to our previous experience and comfort level with DragonPoint, it was an easy decision to work with them again.
Sylvia was the project lead for several custom developed applications that her company, Dragonpoint, delivered to Mercedes Homes. As her customer, I can say that on each and every project Sylvia delivered on time, within the budget, and met all expectations, and many times exceeded them.
Sylvia really has a great way of getting to the core of the business requirements and making sure that her people write high quality software that supports those requirements.
Dragonpoint is a top notch vendor. Sylvia was a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to use them in the future.
“We outsourced all our IT functions to DragonPoint. The skill level needed for various projects within the organization would have been too costly to recruit and maintain. DragonPoint had (or could obtain) the necessary people to get the job done. It is a pleasure working with a technology group that understands the business requirements as well as the technical requirements.”
